Overview

This guide explains how to configure Tags in SEAtS. Tags group students with a common attribute and can be used for personal tutors, wellbeing indicators, background information, and more. Visibility and access to Tags are restricted by Access Profile.

Permissions

In the Admin site, under SEAtS Website > Settings, the Tags permission allows a user to create and manage Tags in the Tag Management area.

Accessing Tag Management

Click your name/avatar in the top right, select Settings, then select Tag Management. This shows all Tags created manually or imported.

Creating a Tag

  • Name: Must be unique (duplicates are rejected). Visible in the UI.
  • Description: Tooltip text for the Tag.
  • Colour: Background colour for the Tag badge.
  • Font Colour: Text colour (choose a contrasting colour for visibility).
  • Visible to: Access profiles that can view Tags in the application.
  • Taggable by: Access profiles that can apply Tags to students. Click Save.

Editing a Tag

Tick the checkbox next to the Tag, click Edit, make changes, and click Save.

Deleting a Tag

Tick the checkbox next to the Tag, click Delete, and click Save to confirm.
