Overview

The SEAtS Mobile Application can be used on mobile devices or laptops to register attendance, submit absences, and view attendance metrics.

Downloading the App

Available from the Apple App Store (iOS) and Google Play Store (Android). Search for SEAtS Mobile. If you are unable to download, your university's security policies may be blocking installation — contact your local IT team.

Logging In

Enter your university email address and continue through the institutional sign-in process (Microsoft/SSO). Allow notifications when prompted — these can be disabled later in device settings.

Device Permissions

Beacon Check In: Requires Location Services and Bluetooth to be enabled. QR Code Check In: Requires camera access to be enabled.

Home Screen

Displays your name, profile image, course(s), overall attendance %, and attendance breakdown by time period (current year, past 4 weeks, 12 weeks, 7 days).

Attendance Analytics

Tap the attendance chart for detailed module-level attendance. Change the date range (7, 14 days, or 12 weeks). Tap the Modules selector to view attendance per module.

Calendar

Shows timetabled events for the day. Use the calendar navigation to view future events.

Check-In Methods

Four methods are available (your institution may use one or more): iBeacon, QR Code, Class Link (virtual events), and GPS. All start from the Calendar — click the check-in button on the event.

Settings

Attendance Analytics: Toggle to include or exclude optional classes from the attendance calculation. High Contrast Mode: Changes colours to a darker variant. Class Reminder Notifications: Set reminder time before classes (0 min default, up to 30+ min early).
