This video demonstrates what a student would see in the mobile app if they attempt to check in using GPS from outside a ringfenced location.

What Happens When a Student is Outside the GPS Ringfence? When GPS-based check-in is enabled and a student attempts to check in while outside the defined GPS ringfence area for their scheduled event, the mobile app will display a message indicating that they cannot check in from their current location.

The GPS ringfence is a defined geographic boundary set up around the physical location where the teaching event is taking place. Students must be within this boundary to successfully check in using the GPS method.

If a student is outside the ringfence: - They will see an error message in the app - Their check-in attempt will not be recorded - They should move to the correct physical location and try again, or use an alternative check-in method if available at their institution
