This guide outlines how to run a report on Device activity, to check the swipes recorded by a device.

The report can be filtered by date/time and student, making it possible to report on card swipes by a specific student within a defined time period.

Permissions

The ability to access the Readings Report is controlled on access profile permissions Access under Readings Report in the Admin Website section of permissions.

Instructions

    • Log into the SEAtS Admin site
    • Select the Devices tab on the navigation bar
    • Select the Readings Report tab
    • Alter the required filters for the relevant information
    • Select the Device from the dropdown, or select ALL to report on every device listed

    Tip: The device option is particularly useful if there are suspected issues with one device, to check the last time the device registered a swipe.

      • Select the Start Date and Time for the report
      • Select the End Date and Time for the report
      • Select whether to include devices that are not currently active by checking the Include Out of Service Devices checkbox

      Tip: The readings can be searched by a specific student using the search function, to filter for swipes by that student.

      As filters are applied, the results in the table will update with the readings captured within the parameters defined. A basic column sort exists in each of the columns.

        • To export the results, select the file type required — PDF or CSV

        Once the required report format has been selected, the report will be processed and the exported readings report will be available in the User Notifications area for download.
