Overview
This guide explains how to masquerade as a student within your test (UAT) site. The function allows the user to act as a student in both the application and the mobile app for testing purposes.
Instructions
Obtain the most recent student file that has been passed into your UAT site.
Navigate to column AN (Student_Login_ID) and replace the value with your own login ID as passed into the SEAtS application.
Import the file to your UAT site via the Importer tool in the Admin site.
Import type should be set as Students and the file format should be CSV UTF-8.
Once imported, verify success in the Admin site by using the Users area search function to search for the new Login ID.
The student you are masquerading as should appear in the associated student field.
Log into the application under a full access profile with all permissions enabled.
Selecting My Profile will open the associated student profile.
Personas
Testers can temporarily switch their access profile to student level to view the student experience. It is recommended to maintain admin permission on the student profile to ensure easy reversion to full access after testing.
