This guide explains how to make comments mandatory for Students submitting Absences in your SEAtS application.

Activity Types are options available in the main SEAtS system which you can record against a Student. Activities can be created such as meetings, appointments or absences, and configured to match any policy that may be in place at your organisation.

Where a student is adding an activity, it is possible to configure SEAtS to make comments mandatory. This is usually used where the Activity Type is an absence, meaning a student will be required to add an explanatory note when they are submitting an absence.

📝 Note: The configuration option 'Requires Approval' relates to the Attend and Analyse product.
