Overview

Absences can be added by students through the SEAtS mobile app where this has been enabled by the institution. The process may vary slightly if your organisation has an approval workflow in place.

Instructions

  1. Open the SEAtS mobile app.
  2. Select Requests.
  3. Click Add Absence.
  4. Select a Start Date by scrolling through Day, Month, Year.
  5. Select the Start time (Hours and Minutes).
  6. Select the End Date and End Time.
  7. Select the Absence Type (configured per institution — types will vary).
  8. Add any notes or explanations in the Comments field.
  9. Use the Attachments field to upload supporting evidence — click Select Document to browse for an image or file.
  10. Click Send once all fields are complete.

A notification will confirm submission of the absence (where notifications are enabled).
