Overview

This guide explains how to email a student manually in SEAtS, on an individual or bulk basis. All email correspondence is recorded in the student profile.

Contacting an Individual Student

Go to the Student Dashboard and locate the student by searching on Name or Student Number. Tick the checkbox next to their record or click into their Student Profile page. Click the Email icon. A pop-up will appear. Populate the fields: any CC email addresses, the subject line, and any templates you wish to use. Amend the body of the email using the HTML editor if needed. Click Save. An Email Successfully Sent message will appear, and a record will appear in the student's timeline.

Contacting Multiple Students

  1. Go to the Student Dashboard and use the filter options to locate the relevant students.
  2. Tick the checkbox next to each student's record.
  3. To select all on a page, tick the header checkbox.
  4. Click the Send Email icon in the table header.
  5. Populate the fields: To email address, CC addresses, subject line, content, and templates.
  6. Click Save.
📝 Note: Student email addresses populate in the BCC field when sending to multiple students, for security purposes. When using Select All, the email is sent to the first page of results only (up to 100/200 students). Navigate to subsequent pages to email more.
