Overview
This guide explains how to configure attendance thresholds within Lesson Types. Each lesson type has parameters that determine how early a student can check in, when they would be classed as Late, and when they would be classed as Absent.
Accessing Lesson Types
Log into the Admin site, click More in the top menu, select Lesson Type from the dropdown, then open the required Lesson Type.
Configuring Parameters
- Early Cut Off: The number of minutes before the lesson start time that a student can check in. Example: if a lecture starts at 9am and Early Cut Off is 30, students can check in from 8:30am.
- Late Cut Off: The number of minutes after the class has started before a student is considered Late. Example: if Early Cut Off is set to 15, students checking in after 9:15am are marked Late.
- Absence Cut Off: The number of minutes after the class has started at which a student is considered Absent, even if they check in after this time. Example: if set to 30, students checking in after 9:30am are marked Absent.
Click Save after making any changes.
