Overview

A link to class material, an online resource, or a virtual meeting can be added to scheduled events in SEAtS. This article explains how to access and view the link from both a student and staff member perspective.

Permissions

Controlled by: SEAtS Website > Student Calendar > eAttend.

How a Student Accesses the Class Link via the Mobile App

  1. Log into the SEAtS Mobile App.
  2. Click on the Calendar to view timetabled events.
  3. Events with associated Class Links will show a hyperlink in blue font.
  4. Click the hyperlink to access the resource — a browser window will open.
  5. Where eAttend Virtual Attendance is enabled, clicking the link will automatically update the student's status to Attended.

How a Student Accesses the Class Link via the Web Application Log into SEAtS, navigate to the Calendar, and click on the Class Link in the calendar item. Attendance will update as above where Virtual Attendance is configured.

How an Academic Views the Class Link

Log into the SEAtS Application. Click on the Lectures tab. Search for and double-click the event to access the Lecture Details page. Click on the Class Link option in the menu. A pop-up will appear showing the Class Link URL.
