Overview

This guide explains how to edit a student's attendance status at an event. This may be necessary when a student attends a lecture but has forgotten their student ID card or phone and cannot check in automatically.

Permissions

The Edit attendance record functionality is controlled by: SEAtS Website > Lectures > Access, eAttend, Set Attending, Set Late, and Set Absent. The eAttend permission enables marking students virtually or physically as late or attending.

Instructions

Find the event using the filter and search options in the Lectures dashboard. Locate the student(s) you want to change the record for. Select the student(s) by ticking the checkbox next to their record. Multiple students can be selected. The attendance settings (Attending, Late, Absent) will appear above the list. Click the relevant option to update the status. If you need to undo the change, press the Undo button on the green pop-up that appears.
