Overview
This guide explains how to add an absence for a student in SEAtS from within the Home Dashboard or the individual Student Profile screen.
Instructions
Navigate to the Home page.
Use the filter options and/or search function to find the relevant student(s).
Tick the checkbox next to the student(s).
Click the Add Absence/Activity icon.
In the modal that appears, select Absence and choose a type from the list of preconfigured Absence Types.
Complete all mandatory fields (indicated by an asterisk), including Start and End Dates and Times.
Optionally add a CC email address for notification purposes.
Optionally upload supporting documents.
Add comments to explain the absence — these will be displayed in the student profile.
Click Save.
A green confirmation banner will appear.
Absences can also be added directly from within the Student Profile by clicking the Add Absence/Activity icon. They can also be added directly in the student calendar by selecting the relevant day and time slot.
